Need a Private and Quiet Getaway? The Yurt is a perfect glamping hideaway! This luxurious yurt has a fire pit and grill on the deck. Enjoy your evening and watch the Alpacas that live nearby. On weekends in Fall, Winter and Spring, it is not unusual for the Danville Inn to host a wedding, the Yurt is located near the Inn, and you may hear some of the celebration, but events end at 10PM. You can inquire before making reservations for Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The space
We would like to introduce you to Danville. Danville is an assembly of different venues and structures created by Dan. It was described by a guest a number of years ago as Dan's art form. His art is not created with paint but in unique and quirky structures with a focus on repurposing. They were built over a period of 10 years after his retirement from his plumbing company. Each one is completely different and unique they were all constructed and decorated by Dan. He now has 30 acres where he has created a farm. His love of animals has allowed him to have goats, donkeys, alpacas, and chickens. You will be on an active farm and not a resort. You will have the ability to interact with animals that have been bred and trained to be friendly. When you leave your venue and venture around the property you will find it filled with farm equipment, building materials, future and current projects. Much like a painter's palette, things are not always neat and organized but everything there is potentially going to be used. Visiting a farm is considerably different than visiting a resort and we hope that this explanation helps to address your expectations.
You will be staying in a 21-foot diameter yurt built by Rainier Yurts. It is fully air-conditioned and has a 14-foot vaulted ceiling with a 5-foot skylight. It contains a full bath, a mini kitchen with microwave and small frig, and king size bed with a Select Comfort mattress. There is also a flat screen television, DirecTV satellite and Wi-Fi that are all included. Outside the yurt is a large porch with fire pit/barbecue grill and unique swing.

Here are instructions as to getting into the Yurt.
Turn off of route 46 on to N. Jungle Road. Turn immediately past the sign that says Danville that will be on your left. Follow the driveway past the Inn and tents till you see the blue market lights and turn left into the little circular drive. You can park in that area. I suggest that you stop at a convenience store (there is one located 2 miles from here that you'll be passing) and possibly pick up some milk or other things you may want. Text me in the morning when you're up and moving. I'll come back and meet you, otherwise I'll let you sleep in.
There is an excellent hometown restaurant at the traffic light at 46 (Geneva General) it serves an excellent breakfast in the morning.
Guest access
The Danville Yurt is part of the Danville eclectic collection of venues. You'll have access to all of the amenities in the complex such as an Irish pub and 500 acres of trails to explore. You may even have an opportunity to fly with one of the neighbors. You can also schedule a horseback ride on the local trails with a neighbor.
Other things to note
We do not provide any meals for our guests but there are grocery stores and restaurants near by.

You have the opportunity to learn how to Milk a goat ,my friend Randy Milks are Pygmy goats at 8:30 at the Barn. A $10 tip is appropriate

For a fee, Lauren provides the opportunity to take a horse back ride through the the 500 acre natural lands park adjacent to Danville . Her information is in the Welcome book in the venue.

It has been described by guests as the" most romantic ever". Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the fire on the deck, see the stars, lasers and meteor shower lights through the skylight in the dome of the Yurt. Spend some time with your neighbors, the alpacas that live next door.

The Yurt has lots of open lighted areas. The skylight, the windows do not have blackout screens. Therefore, in the morning you will enjoy the sunrise. For those that need absolute darkness, it only happens at night.

Gas is provided for the grills. If you have a gas firepit, we asked that you purchase the gas bottle they will be available for $20.
